Where to write
Email [email protected]. That address reaches everyone who works on the site.
There is no contact form here on purpose. This site has no server and no database, so a form would either need a third party collecting your message or would have to quietly do nothing. A plain email address is more honest and gets you a reply from a person.
How long a reply takes
Usually a few days. This is not a company with a support rota, so a fortnight is possible if something has gone on holiday. Bugs that break a puzzle outright get looked at first.
Reporting a bug in a puzzle
These are the reports we can act on fastest. If a board behaves strangely, please include:
- Which puzzle, and which settings. Difficulty, board size, level number — whatever the sidebar was set to.
- What you did and what happened. The move you made, and what the board did instead of what you expected.
- Your browser and device. “Safari on an iPhone” is enough; a version number is better.
- A screenshot if the board looked wrong. For layout problems this is worth more than any description.
If a puzzle claims you have finished when you have not, or refuses to accept a finished board, say so plainly — that is a generator or a win-check problem and we want it immediately.
Corrections to a guide
The guides make claims about how puzzles work, and claims can be wrong. If a technique is described incorrectly, a diagram contradicts the text, or a worked example does not hold up, please tell us which guide and which section.
We would rather have a blunt correction than a polite one. If you can point at the exact sentence, that is ideal.
Accessibility problems
Every board here can be played from the keyboard, every control has a label, and the site respects a reduced-motion preference. That does not mean we have got it all right.
If something is unreachable with a keyboard, unreadable with a screen reader, too low in contrast, or unusable at a large text size, that is treated as a bug rather than a suggestion. Please include the assistive technology you are using if you can.
Things we cannot help with
- Recovering a lost best time. Results are stored in your browser and nowhere else. If you cleared your browsing data or switched device, they are gone, and we have no copy to restore.
- Advertising, link exchanges and guest posts. The site carries no advertising and does not publish outside contributions.
- Anything involving money. There is nothing to buy, no prize, no wager and no account, so a message about a payment or a winnings balance is a scam aimed at you rather than anything to do with us.
Before you write about a stuck puzzle
Every puzzle has a guide explaining the reasoning that solves it. A great many “this is impossible” emails are answered in one.
